I mentioned this at the last meeting but forgot to post it here. If you're looking for writing markets to submit to, I recommend checking out www.duotrope.com, which used to be a free service but is now unfortunately by subscription. Nevertheless it is one of the best resources for finding markets, and allows you to search by genre, sub-genre, word limits etc. and classifies markets as professional, semi-pro, etc. according to their pay rates. Most markets have a summary page on duptrope with links to officail websites and submission guidelines. It is one of the quickest and easiest ways to locate potential markets.
