new novel opening

Looking forward to catching up. Sorry I missed the last meeting (and hope Darren passed on my apologies - I was sick).

Following a manuscript assessment and beta reader feedback, I've rewritten my opening chapters (and am working through various rewrites throughout the novel more generally). Would appreciate your feedback on the new opening.

Really cool world you’ve created with so much going on and so many secrets to be unveiled.
Loved the names (even if I won’t attempt to say them out loud), your ideas, and the purposefulness with which you’ve filled these first two chapters with world and character building.
