I've attached the first 6500-odd words of a new story I've been working on. It'll be either a long short story or a novella, uncertain which because I'm pantsing it. Comments are welcome, but if you don't have time to read it all, your thoughts on the first 3000 words alone would be great.

I am with Kane on this, having worked with refugees directly this is very well done. I got a sense of desperation from them and do keep writing. This is quite interesting.
