Hi all,

I have completed my first Science Fiction novel and have gone through a number of edits.

That's a journey in itself. Trying to get my work out there and looking forward to hearing from like minded individuals.

Cheers

Hello,
I'm Bron from the Central Coast. I've been thinking about joining this group since before COVID, and now am rearranging life priorities to make more writing activity time. It feels good!
I've almost completed a novel which is part spec fiction, definitely cross-genre. I've been exchange beta-reading with a friend who is also completing a novel, but would also like to exchange with a broader group who are more speculative-oriented.
To give you an idea of my tastes: Neal Stephenson, Octavia Butler, Margaret Atwood, Emily St John Mandel, David Mitchell, Ray Bradbury, Ian M Banks. Recently fell in love with Murderbot. Ideas, characters, worlds and good writing in equal measure.
I've published poetry in lit journals but no prose - and currently proving to myself that I can run the long distance required for a novel.
I have some super-short fiction I can post to get me started here, as my writing buddy and I have been writing a 300 word short story every 3 weeks. It has been a great limbering exercise, and - possibly - not all of them have been total crap.
Cheers, and looking forward to some writing conversation!

Hello I'm new to group but not new to writing. My WIP is YA Urban Fantasy. I'm based in Sydney and after a semi long hiatus have finally returned to my greatest passion. I was looking for an online Critique group and came across this page. When's your next meeting? I would love to attend.

Ana

Hello!
I'm Iris- I'm trying to be more disciplined with my writing practice and would love to get critique on my work. I write mostly magical realist and soft sci-fi short stories- Ursula Le Guin, Becky Chambers and Neil Gaiman are big influences. This group seems great and I'd love to come to meetings!
Iris :)
