Is it worth getting an ISBN?

Hey peeps,

I'm doing a reprint of my Zeera the Space Pirate books. (This is a collection of all the comic strips in my web comic, in a paperback volume.)

I chickened out of getting an ISBN for the first run, but now that I'm reprinting... Is it worth the trouble? I've been going through the documentation online about backlists and catalogues and distributors etc.

Now years later, I can answer my own question.

Yes, it's worth getting an ISBN. It makes it easier for people to find your book, it's easier for libraries, and you can list your book with library suppliers (who buy and catalogue books for libraries). It also adds an air of legitimacy to your work.
